I am sure you are all aware of the disastrous famine occurring in East Africa right now. The stories and images from that part of the world are just staggering. The UN reports that more than 10 million people are being affected by the worst drought in 20 years.
People are starving to death in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda. At least half of them are children.
The people in this area are in desperate need of food, water, and emergency supplies. They need our help.
So, this week, instead of a recipe, I bring you a special appeal: please consider making a donation to help save the lives of these men, women, and children.
ANY amount will help, believe me. I know things might not be great for you at this time, either. I know most of us are struggling with our own problems, and times are tough financially, but I know we all have $1, $5, $10, anything that can help these families.
I have included links to my two favorite international aid organizations below. Please, please, please take a moment and visit these sites. A few dollars can save a life today.
Don’t worry about the $5. God will repay you, I promise!
Thank you, friends. I know we can all work together for the greater good.
And, stay tuned for more yummy recipes coming your way…I’ve declared the last week of July Peanut Butter Week, just for you!
