Dine-Out For No Kid Hungry

As you probably know by now, I’m a huge fan and contributor to Share Our Strength.  I bake to help end childhood hunger, and Share Our Strength is one of my favorite charities to work with!  In addition to raising money for SOS through this site and my wonderful readers (you!), I also donate almost all the proceeds from my baking business to SOS.  It’s great to know what I do matters!

SOS has put together a great way for all of us to help raise money for hungry children in America.  It’s called Dine-Out for No Kid Hungry, and it’s super easy to participate!  All you have to do is go to the Dine-Out site, and enter your zip code.  You’ll get a list of restaurants in your area that are participating in Dine-Out (Papa John’s, La Madeleine, PF Chang’s, to name a few).  Then, go eat out at one of those restaurants during the week of Sept 18-24, and you’ll be helping to end childhood hunger!  All participating restaurants have pledged to donate to the SOS campaign, and the more people who eat out, the more they’ll raise.  Here are a few examples: La Madeleine is giving anyone who donates $1 or more a free Triple Chocolate Peppermint Cookie.  Papa John’s has a special offer this week: when you order a large pizza and breadsticks, they will donate $1 to SOS.  And, PF Chang’s is donating $1 for every lettuce wrap ordered!

So, get your family and friends together, and go Dine-Out!  I mean, you’ve got to eat, right?  Why not help hungry children while you’re at it?!

Here’s all the info you’ll need.  Happy Eating!
