Baltimore Ravens Marshmallow Pops

ravens pops_La Casa de Sweets

I have to be honest: I don’t know the first thing about football.  I don’t know the rules of the game or which team comes from where.  The other day at my nephew’s birthday party, I had to ask who the 49ers are and where they’re from.  No joke.  And, I’m totally ok with that.  Football and I just don’t mix.

My dad, on the other hand, is a huge football fan.  And he LOVES our home team, the Baltimore Ravens.  He wears his purple Ravens shirts with pride, and he and his friends have a blast getting together for their football-watching parties on the weekends.  Now that the Ravens are going to the Super Bowl this weekend, my dad is super excited.  Judging by all the purple I’ve been seeing lately, so is everyone else!

These marshmallow pops are a great, and super easy, way to show off your purple pride this weekend.  Need to bring something to the Super Bowl party you’re going to on Sunday?  These couldn’t be easier to make, and kids and adults will enjoy them.  You can make as many pops as you want, and you can even add on a little Ravens team printable to make them even more festive.

I never thought I’d say this, but for my Dad and all his fellow Ravens fans out there…

GO RAVENS!

Ravens Marshmallow Pops

Ingredients:
  • 25 large marshmallows
  • 2 cups lavender candy melts
  • 25 candy sticks
  • 1 cup chocolate sprinkles
  • 25 clear bags and ties {optional}
  • Ravens printables {optional}
Instructions:
  • Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the candy melts in 30-second increments, stirring after every 30 seconds, until they are melted.
  • Dip the tip of a candy stick in the melted candy melts, and stick it halfway up the marshmallow.  Immediately dip the top of the marshmallow into the melted candy melts, tapping the stick on the side of the bowl to remove any excess candy.
  • Sprinkle on the chocolate sprinkles, then place the marshmallow flat on the lined cookie sheet so that the candy stick is sticking straight up.
  • Repeat with the remaining marshmallows.
  • Let the pops harden at room temperature.
  • While they are hardening, cut out the printables (if using) and use a hole puncher to punch a small hole at the top of each logo.
  • Once the pops have hardened, wrap them up in the clear bags, and thread the bag tie through the hole of the Ravens logo printable before tying each bag.
  • Enjoy!
