A few months ago, a group of bakers from across the country got together and organized cookie swaps to raise money for pediatric cancer research during the holiday season, a cause championed by the organization Cookies for Kids Cancer. What started with just a few local cookie swaps evolved into over 40 events across the U.S. We worked with individuals, schools, banks, companies, bakeries, sororities and even a radio station to raise money for such a great cause.
In just one month, we raised over $22,600, every single dollar of which was matched by GLAD and OXO!
I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am to every single person who helped organize a cookie swap, attended a cookie swap, and to everyone who ate a cookie (or ten!).
I just wanted to say to every single person who helped us out:
Thank you for showing such love and for stepping up to help make a difference. You’ll be rewarded for your time and effort…
…and a special thanks to Tyler, for being the driving force behind our efforts. You are so unbelievably brave, and we are so proud of you. And to your mom for restoring hope that even in our darkest moments, we can reach out to those around us…
A heartfelt thanks to all who participated:
